“Play is the work of the child.” – Maria Montessori

Ruo En has Cerebral Palsy, but thanks to her techie friends, she is learning how to drive by first practising on a ride-on toy jeep. Engineers from Hope Technik, the local company behind the Red Rhino and other Singapore Civil Defence Force vehicles, applied their large vehicles know-how to created a button-switch-based steering box so that Ruo En can operate it safely with her hands’ limited movements.

Watch this video and be inspired by how a bunch of engineers having a fun time thinking out-of-the-box, can come up this solution and make a big a difference in the life of a special needs child.
